Welcome to Adelaide if you are from overseas!
We invite you to come along to our services, small groups or events. We wish to make you feel comfortable in our community and settle in well to Adelaide. We will even introduce you to some of Australia’s culture! Come and meet new friends from your own country and other parts of the world (including Australia).
We have a range of activities to help you discover who Jesus is and experience what Christians are like. These same activities will also help you grow in your knowledge of God and to lovingly serve him, his people and the world.
The following ministries have been designed with ‘internationals’ in mind.
Trinity Internationals Bible Study (TIBS)
TIBS is where people from all over the world meet to read God’s word and to encourage each other with what is learnt. It begins with dinner, and then breaks up into small discussion groups. There are groups in English, Cantonese and Easy English.
When: 6pm every Friday (during university terms)
Where: Parish Hall (on Trinity Church Adelaide church site)
Cost: $5 for dinner
Contact: Pastor Bernie Leo (firstname.lastname@example.org or 0403 863 405)

English Conversation Classes
These are free classes for those who want to improve their English-speaking skills. Our aim is to help you:
- Improve your fluency
- Increase your vocabulary
- Improve your pronunciation
- Understand some common idioms
The classes will be relaxed and informal so that students will not be frightened to speak freely about many different topics. However, the conversations will be challenging and we will discuss many serious topics such as pollution, the Internet, the mobile phone, health issues, etc.
We will also run some simulated IELTS tests, if class members are interested.
We will have several teachers present to encourage and help you. We hope to have at least two or more teachers for every six students.
The classes will be held at Trinity Church Adelaide, 88 North Terrace. We will meet in the parents’ room which is at the rear of the church hall. Just look for a sign that says ‘English Conversation Classes’.
We will meet every Sunday for six Sundays during the first semester. The dates will be: 4th March, 11th March, 18th March, 25th March, 8th April, 15th April.
1pm to 3pm. We will have a break at 2pm for 15 minutes to have tea, coffee and biscuits. Please try to be there by 12:50pm, or at the latest 1:10pm.
These classes are free.
Ring Graham Clark on 0421 138 194 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Buddy Help is available for those of you who wish to meet with just one or two other more mature Christians. This is very helpful for your investigation of Christianity or your growth as a Christian. You may request a local Aussie as a ‘buddy’.
Contact Bernie Leo if you would like a buddy or to be one.
Easter & Christmas Hospitality
Our church members often invite internationals to their home for a meal. This happens especially during Easter and Christmas time. So, come and enjoy meeting locals and other internationals.
To register your interest in joining one of these events please contact Bernie Leo.
