Note: We are following COVID Safe practices at church, and this means we’re doing some things differently at the moment, so there may be changes to what is outlined below. We are sanitising regularly, taking contact details for tracing purposes, and practicing safe distancing. We have resumed singing together, but are keeping doors and windows open to ensure good ventilation as per government recommendations. Please bring warm clothing with you if the weather is going to be cool. If you’d like to ask any questions, please email email@example.com or call 08 8213 7300.
5pm is a community of people from different professions, life-stages, countries and experiences who have one thing in common—a desire to know God. Please join us, whoever you are, wherever you are from.
What to expect
Our gathering starts at 5pm on Sunday nights with readings from the Bible, prayers, singing accompanied by a live band (if you’d like to know what kind of songs we sing, you can follow us on Spotify) and a Bible talk. We aim to finish by 6:15pm and most of the community continues our time together with an informal supper. We meet in the church building.
Everyone is always welcome, with most regulars twenty- to forty something workers, singles and married couples including parents of babies and toddlers and parents of teenagers who attend ‘Fusion’. There is no dress-code – wear what makes you feel most at ease.
We want you to feel comfortable at 5pm Church. So when you arrive, we will give you a leaflet with an overview for the gathering, and you are free to sit wherever you like. There is no dress code – wear whatever makes you feel most at ease. You will not be asked to introduce yourself, or read or pray out loud. Visitors are always very welcome. Free parking for visitors is off Morphett Street behind the church building.
You will find 5pm Church has:
- a thought-provoking message taught from the Bible
- live music
- communion each month
- an opportunity to join a weekly home group. Home groups are friendly, small groups that meet on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at various locations around Adelaide. There is also a women’s group (Terrace Studies) that meets each Tuesday morning at Trinity Church Adelaide. To find a convenient group for you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- start a free, short course to learn more about Christianity. Jesus Works is a four-week series that will answer your questions about Jesus. There are no catches, no cost and no pressure.
Hopefully you will also find friendly people and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere!
When you join us for the first time, we would love to hear about it. Filling in a communication slip, found in the leaflets, is a great way to let us know you were here. Your details are strictly confidential, and will only be seen by the Trinity Church Adelaide ministry team. Alternatively, come and introduce yourself to one of the staff or people you saw up the front.
