Who?
This is for everyone who calls Trinity Church Adelaide’s 6pm Gathering their church home (or wants to!).
When?
Saturday, 19 September 2026. Noon – 4pm(ish).
Where?
Meet and finish at Cleland Wildlife Park carpark, 365 Mount Lofty Summit Road, Crafers.
What?
12 Noon: Lunch at the Barking Gecko cafe (at own expense). A large space, with plenty of tables and good food. Note that we do not require to purchase a Cleland entry ticket to enter: just advise the staff upon entering.
1pm:
- Option 1: head out to start the Chambers Gully and Sugarloaf Hill hike and loop track. This is an 8.7 km hike to the gully with excellent views of Adelaide on a clear day, and should take around 2.5 hours to complete. See the route here.
- Option 2: start with Option 1 hikers, but choose the the shorter, “Sugarloaf Hill” walk, which is 2.8km/40 minutes. Turn around, return for a beverage back at Chambers Gully while you await the Option 1 hikers to return.
- Option 3: stay at Cleland the entire time! Either in the Barking Gecko cafe, or pay your own entry ticket and enjoy seeing some of Australia’s fascinating wildlife.
