1 and 2 Samuel show us how God is King at a particular point in the Bible’s story. Jesus is now God’s ultimate king, but we don’t live in a theocracy… so where does that leave us in our relationships with rulers and politics today? At Deep Dive, with Reuben Salagaras, we’ll cover a theology of divine and human rule, and learn from the New Testament about some options for engaging in modern political life.
Reuben Salagaras serves with ES (university ministry) where he loves the opportunity to share about Jesus with everyone on campus. He attends Broadview Baptist Church, along with his wife Jodie and their two girls. He wouldn’t call himself an academic ‘expert’ on the O.T., but is keen to share ideas with us based on many years of talking through tough questions like these in challenging campus environments.
